Soundtrap Culture Capsule: Women’s History Month

Women’s History Month Student Activities

In the spirit of celebrating the extraordinary contributions of women throughout history, the Soundtrap for Education team has compiled a series of activities that amplify a diverse array of women’s voices. We hope you leverage Soundtrap to bring these stories to life this month and beyond!

Activity Option #1:

Step 1: Pick at least two musical artists from the list provided below.

We encourage you to explore artists you might not already know. These songs/artists are just examples. You can ask your teacher to approve the song of your choice!

Step 2: Listen to the listed song and research each artist’s bio online. ✏️Take good notes!✏️

Step 3: Log into Soundtrap and record an audio response to the following questions:

  • Why did you pick this artist/song?
  • What’s something new you learned about the artist from their biography?
  • What was the theme or key message in this song? What makes you think that?
  • Pick your favorite line from the song and explain why it stood out to you.
